Junsu managed to peel himself away from the theater for two seconds, grow a mullet, and release a classic pop track. You're lucky you're my ult with that hair, dude! Lol. Seems like most of the songs on the upcoming album are ballads, so this is some nice standard pop-Junsu fare. Feels a lot like Incredible or Rock The World.

Cue fangirling.
This was posted to Naver a day early, so I've been listening to it on repeat.
Thought I wasn't going to be as into it knowing it would be pushing towards hip hop. Turns out I love it anyway. Definitely designed to be a concert jam to get everyone hyped.

Love the video concept from Digipedi. A bit of Death Note in there (his most recent musical).
The tarot theme is cool. The symbolism could easily be tied to the SM/JYJ situation.
The dancing is... spectacular. Holy...

Last year we thought Junsu was releasing his last album before enlistment, but he has continued working and hasn't been called up yet. So here he is releasing another awesome album. But this will certainly be the last before military service.

JYJ fans will appreciate the deeper meaning of this one.
Yoochun has been open about coming from a broken family, mostly raised by his mother. There was some longstanding issues with his father that were never fully reconciled. His father passed away unexpectedly in 2012 due to illness and ever since Yoochun has been processing their past and the nature of their relationship. For JYJ, he wrote the stong 'Dad, You There?' around that time.
During a ment at the end of 2014, Yoochun mentioned that ten years ago, he had given his father a 10.000 yen bill. Recently he had a dream that he saw his father's wallet and the money was still there... and he realized he had been wrong about something in the past... likely the nature of what that had meant to his father.

Yoochun is currently doing public service in the military.
Junsu said he joked this would be his first and last solo album ever. Lol.
Very like Yoochun to put out an album when he has no obligation to perform/promote it. XD

Glad that 1theK gave him another opportunity for a Special Clip. Allows him the chance to have a 'second single' of sorts despite the ongoing blacklisting.
Suits! Fun choreo! Very much designed for a concert tour setting.
Junsu has always had a thing against lots of camera movement for the performance parts of MVs because it distracts from the choreography. Agreed! But he probably allowed it for being a special release that is ONLY performance.

Tablo is the featured rapper. Junsu and Tablo were on the same track back in the old days for a Samsung promotional thing. Anyband. Junsu and Tablo together again is a dream collaboration for me.
The operatic female voice in the backing vocal is Jung Sun-ah. She worked with Junsu in the musicals for Mozart! and Dracula. I adore her voice.



My ultimate bias is back with this epic fantasy madness.
I could spend a few hours writing out an essay on potential symbolism and how much I adore this MV and a million other things, but I'll refrain from doing that here.

I'll just say that this is essentially his last big work before he enlists in the military. The album is the culmination of an already long career in the industry (and being effectively banned by that industry).
I cried watching this the first time. Cried listening to the album.
Junsu is not just an important figure in Korean Music, but an important figure in my life.
I honestly can't overstate that.
I'm delighted how far he has pushed himself to the wildest extremes. Pushing boundaries that others are unwilling or incapable of pushing. Always impressive. Always creative.

I feel perpetually privileged to be his fan. He gives so much.
