Caught up with a bunch of stuff released in the last couple weeks to take my mind off of following the news. So heartbroken. So much young life stopped short. My deepest condolences to those who lost loved ones. Wishing quick healing to the injured.

The industry will be slow for a little while. The national period of mourning is through the 5th of November, so a lot of comebacks and scheduled content will be cancelled or postponed until then.

Jin will be the first member to start his military service sometime soon. Got this great solo release out as a kind of farewell surprise. Collaboration with Coldplay. Very Coldplay, but I think it suits Jin really well. He sounds great. Also joined the band's concert in Argentina to perform this track.

Including the performance video too. I sobbed through most of it. Couldn't stop thinking about the early Bangtan Logs where he expressed insecurities about his ability as a performer or that he couldn't get his body to do what he wanted it to do in practice. Imagined showing that younger Jin this footage. All the tears. And props to Coldplay for being so lovely throughout the project.

Was real hyped for Seulgi's proper solo debut. Not disappointed! Love the whole album. It's very much the darker 'velvety' side of Red Velvet. Darker R&B-ish stuff is my thing, so I'm real happy. '28 Reasons' is real nice though the intro line/spoken parts are a little awkward. The MV/Song kinda gave me Aaliyah vibes. The trailer ahead of release was super cinematic and interesting looking. Hoping we do get some more of that outside of the trailer. More MVs? 🙏
