Part of Sanullim's 50th anniversary collaboration album.

[DEBUT] BABYMONSTER - BATTER UP
… definitely a YG girl group.
I did kind of hope they'd break the mold a bit, but it really just feels like BP's replacement, as they were 2NE1's.
[MV] Cacophony - Draw The Bow Right Now
Feels like this is taking direct inspiration from FKA Twigs 'cellophane'. Pretty cool.

[DEBUT] iii - Forbidden midnight
Kinda nice use of In the Hall of the Mountain King. Serious uncanny valley from the face filters though. Yeesh!

[MV] J.Y. Park - Changed Man
Quintessentially JYP, fully revisiting the hammiest of 1st generation pop. Fun having Kim Wan Sun in the video too.
[MV] Dreamcatcher - OOTD
Quite like the pre-chorus(?) and instrumental, but the more hip-hop leaning parts are rough for me.
[MV] Park Bom (feat. DAWN) - I
Really nice to hear Bom again. This one feels really reminiscent of 2NE1's mellower tracks.

[MV] Red Velvet - Chill Kill
Not feeling this one much, though it's a fine song. Love a tiny bit of the chorus, but the rest goes too unfocused for me. I think the point is to fully blend their 'red' and 'velvet' sides, just doesn't quite succeed for me personally. Haven't listened to the rest of the album yet, but I've seen a lot of folks liking the b-sides more overall. Will have to check it out!

[MV] Jungkook (BTS) - Standing Next to You (Eng.)
Well damn. I got my wish to have a new JK solo track I could fully jam to and enjoy. Huzzah! This genre is my thing. Highly dance-able retro funk. Vocal sounds fabulous and clean. Killer video. I have no idea what's happening, but I'm entertained. Looking forward to the choreography/practice versions. Only thing that could make it better is if it was in Korean, but I don't mind the English lyrics. Happy! He has done a couple of live performances by now and nailed it, of course. He's in that small club of performers who can dance full-out and still have solid vocals, like Hyolyn and Junsu. Fun to watch.
The rest of the album is fine. I get the purpose of it as specific project, compiling a bunch of his favorites from the foreign producer demos BTS gets sent constantly. It's not a heavy or especially personal record, just doing what interested him, working on his English, and picking stuff he could perform the hell out of before enlistment.
