The last month was so stressful. Oof. One step forward and five steps back.

Moving on! April faves. IVE on top with 'I AM'. I think 'Eleven' is still my overall favorite for their stuff, but I really like this one a lot. Solid catchy pop song. Gonna throw a spicy weird choice in here for the 2nd pick. YongYong's 'Cheetos' has a totally hypnotizing track and vibe. I'm not completely sold on the rapping, especially ZENE THE ZILLA's part, but the traaaaaack though!

Pretty. Nice chorus. I like the shift between acoustic guitar in the pre-chorus and electric in the chorus. Fun.

Not happy with all the collaborators on this, but that's how these big soundtracks go. Jimin and Muni Long sound the best on the track despite the heavy compression. Actually quite like the melody and lyrics in the chorus. Wish it was a vocalist-only song.

Update: Replaced with the vocal-only version that was released later. Would've liked more Jimin, but Puth is preferable to the rap parts in the original. I'll put that under the cut.

The Clueless aesthetic is a lot of fun. I dig that super crunchy fried out synth or whatever it is. Still not quite my jam, but definitely think their latest album is their strongest and a lot more listenable for me.

Unexpected sound for aespa. I've seen people say it reminds them of the 'Arcane' soundtrack (Riot Games), which is spot on. Especially 'Playground'. They've released a few teaser videos for other tracks. Including this one, 3 of 4 have a more mature and organic sound to them compared to their debut and follow-up promotions up to this point. I'm intrigued. Also seeing a lot more of them looking like real people in real clothing, which is refreshing.
