Not my favorite from them, but it's still nice. I like the acoustic guitar, but it was almost distracting how much it was reminding me of some other song. Took a while to figure out. Someone on Reddit mentioned Super Junior's 'U', which is kinda in the ballpark, but I thought it was something quite recent. Then I realized it's Jimin's 'Who'. Lol. Quite a different song, but that's definitely what was making my brain itch.

[MV] ITZY - GOLD
Hmm. Was trying to place what I don't like about it. I think it kinda feels like it's the clipped intros and pre-choruses for a few different songs... all added together to make one song. Never gets any pleasant groove going because it keeps changing up and doesn't feel like anything resolves. Dunno if that's what it is, but yeah, not my thing.

[MV] Jin (BTS) - Super Tuna
The man is back from the military with a full version of Super Tuna, which was a just a short goofy thing he did for his birthday before enlisting. The dad-joke energy is back back back again.
Can't wait to see what an actual album by Jin would sound like. We'll find out soon!
[REMAKE] MISAMO (TWICE) - NEW LOOK (Jpn.)
Was totally unaware they were covering this old Namie Amuro song. Was a huge fan of it back when I was mostly consuming Japanese media...16 years agoooooooo 😲. Found myself singing along to the whole thing. It's embedded in my brain. Lol.
Cute little remake. This is a pre-release I believe.

[MEDIA] NMIXX - Tiny Desk Korea
This has been out for a few weeks, but I keep coming back to it. Wanted to show it some love with a post. NMIXX had a fantastic Tiny Desk. Brilliant arrangements by the band and excellent vocal choices for the setting and different styles. And the thing I love the most is that there is basically no post-production to clean up or perfect their voices. Feels like I'm back in 2nd gen with that beautiful raw sound.
I'm not someone who gets super bent out of shape about how hyper-tuned everything in K-Pop has been for like a decade now. It's the way it is. Probably an inevitable industry-shift that can't be stopped. But god I love it when the full character of what singers are doing can be properly heard. I'd rather hear little quirks and breaks and off-notes than a machine. Dancing your ass off? Okay, machine it up. But standing at a mic? I wanna hear ya! Thankful to NMIXX and co. for doing this. They sound fabulous!
[MV] Min Jiwoon - Sentimental Love (Eng.)
Min Jiwoon had debuted years ago, but she's re-debuting in SM Ent.'s new R&B label called KRUCIALIZE.
