I'm completely out of the loop on the latest Produce show 'PRODUCE x 101', but X1 is the final product from the season.

Got a little emotional there. This is supposed to be Wanna One's last major release before their Produce101 contracts run out. Seems like things are still being negotiated though.

This crazy convoluted Kdrama plot... lmao. Use that Produce 101 budget!
The song is nice. Korea will love it. Well-timed feeling for the season.

The other potential lead for Wanna One, but lost in the vote. I think Energetic was a much better choice. This is a totally different feel. The choreography, especially around the bridge, is really awesome though.

Oh, dear. I'm already so attached.
Wanna One is the brother group to IOI, formed on Produce 101 season 2!
As much as I love(d) IOI, I think Wanna One is more vocally capable and that's my personal preference. Plus a bunch of the guys I was rooting for much of the way through the show made it into the top 11. Very happy to see them debut!

There's supposed to be a newly recorded version of Never, which was featured on the show, with only the top 11 for their mini-album. Looking forward to hearing that. Could go down as one of my top 3 songs of the year.

Here we go again!
Season 2 of Produce101 is getting the hype going.

I'll be watching. The first season completely shocked me with how good it was and we got IOI out of it. We'll see if the second season can meet those expectations with all boys this time. This theme song is less obnoxious than the first impressions of the original, but it's also less distinctive because of that. It's likely to grow on me anyway.

Flashback: Season 1 PICK ME post

Downpour of tears! Nice little retrospective of IOI's incredible year.
Even if you're someone who typically dislikes 'survival audition' types of shows, I'd recommend Produce101. It's an emotional roller-coaster, but it truly focuses on the hard work and cooperation of all the women who participated. Pretty amazing and unexpected that it turned into such a huge thing, but I think that has a lot to do with the grit and humor of the trainees through the whole process and the promotions of the final 11.
It's a shame to dissolve the group at this point, but...

Better to have IOI'd and lost IOI than never to have IOI'd at all.

This is what I wanted from IOI, post-Produce101. But we got some relatively low energy cutesy stuff. BUT NOW THERE'S THIS!

Is it cheating a bit by building almost the entire song on the Salt N Pepa / Linda Lindell hook? Yes.
Do I care? No.
Is it the kind of repetitive I usually don't like? Yes.
Do I like it anyway? Yesssssssss.

Chungha's (black hair) choreo looks great as well.
It's a shame a few of the other members have already moved onto their groups and aren't involved here...

This track is weaker than anything that was performed during the show. Lol.
It's cute, I guess?

Yoojung's rap is a highlight.
