[MV] Jeong Sewoon, Sik-K - JUST U
Official channel link
Good to see Sewoon debut after being so popular on Produce101, but not making it in to Wanna One.
[MEDIA] A couple notes and BTS for funzies
There's a big strike happening next week for KBS and MBC union members. It means that a number of popular TV shows are cancelled indefinitely as well as the DMC Festival which had a massive line-up of big artists/groups. Hopefully it will be resolved neatly, but there will certainly be some industry interruption in the meantime. [Korea Times article]
All members of INFINITE re-signed their contracts except for Hoya who is leaving the group. A sad day for Inspirits, I'm sure.
The lovely Alex Reid, who was a member of BP RaNia and recently left, just did an AMA over on the /r/kpop subreddit. Bit of a rare opportunity for some candid insight into what the Kpop girl group life is like. [Link to Alex's AMA]
September is looking tantalizing for comebacks. The big guns are showing up with some overlap. EXO's repackage, GFriend repackage, BTS's big comeback, TVXQ with Station singles post-military service, Lim Chang Jung, and possibly Taemin in there somewhere. Potentially big stuff as we head towards festival/awards season. I hope we can get something awesome in there. (IU as well, updated a day later!)
And for fun, we don't get this kind of thing often from western media, so I'll post it in appreciation. PEOPLE (magazine) released a 3-minute interview with BTS months ago, which is funny as is, but they just uploaded a long 20-minute version yesterday that is pretty hilarious and charming. So if you're in need of some giggles, I recommend it. These guys are gearing up for a massive promotional period through the end of the year, so brace yourselves. (Also props to Rap Monster for handling all the necessary English translation duties through their US tour and Billboard shenanigans!)

[MV] Primary (feat. Soyou) - Right?
Official channel link
There are five little short MVs for the rest of the songs on the album. Each about a minute and a half. I'll put them all after the cut along with a link to his shininryu sessions.
[DEBUT] GOOD DAY - Rolly
The Produce101 guys are showing up in so many MVs. Lol.
Not a bad debut, but I wonder when we'll hit peak cutesy-concept for girl groups.
[MV] ZSUN (feat. Nari of WA$$UP) - AH YAH SO NICE
NSFW for some very overt sexy-dancing.
I think she choreographs for KARD(?).

[MV] The Barberettes - Shoo
Their harmonies are little warm hugs for my ears.
I believe the story behind this song is that Shinae An wrote this as an ode to fangirling over Kang Daniel (now in Wanna One) while watching Produce 101 season 2 this year. Cute!

[MV] Yoon Jong Shin - Home Made
Incredibly, Jong Shin's 'Like It' from back in June is still killing the charts after getting a perfect all-kill almost two weeks ago. It's a wall.
[MV] DIA - Can't Stop (E905)
A bit late on this one. There was a delay before it was posted to Youtube after Naver and I forgot to backtrack for it once it was up!

[PROMO/CF] Jay Park, Boi B, Double K - Reborn
Promo for Whal Myung Su, which is some kind of drink to improve digestion(?).
Kind of a tight track for an ad. Lol.

[MV] Lee Seung Hwan - God Of Money
The depressing accuracy of the chorus. -___-
Seunghwan always seems to do interesting stuff.
I love political/social commentary material in general.

[MV] SUNMI - Gashina
Not super into the track, but I love her attitude through the MV.
Reminds me of SPICA's 'You Don't Love Me' a bit.

[MV] G-DRAGON - BULLSHIT
This music video is only supposed to be available to people who bought GD's album on USB. Chances are this unofficial upload will be taken down at some point.

[REMAKE] Jane Jang, GIANTPINK, PERC%NT - Dumb Dumb
Official channel link
A completely different feel from the original Dumb Dumb by Red Velvet. Cool.
Snowball Project for the win on this one.
[REMAKE] Red Velvet - Rebirth
Station2 #21
SM Ent. and Mystic Ent. have this collaborative project going on (Snowball Project). Sharing some artists/producers and also remaking stuff. Station is SM's thing. LISTEN is Mystic's thing. Snowball is the overall collab across both companies. Pretty neat.

[MV] Glen Check - Follow The White Rabbit
Just got so damn excited seeing Glen Check had a new EP out!!!!!
This sounds quite different for them though.

[MV] Gugudan 5959 - ICE CHU
Or 'Gugudan OGUOGU'.
A little sub-unit of Gugudan with just Mina and Hyeyeon.
Very cute!
[MV] Wanna One - Burn It Up
The other potential lead for Wanna One, but lost in the vote. I think Energetic was a much better choice. This is a totally different feel. The choreography, especially around the bridge, is really awesome though.

[DEBUT] Weki Meki - I don't like your girlfriend
Admittedly disappointed with this one. Good to see a couple more Produce 101 girls debut in their own group (getting all the screen time even, lol), but this is not my jam.
I need to come up with a word for the pseudo-rap, trap, Frankenstein, ADD, melody-less, trend happening in Kpop.
I've just been thinking of it as 2017-itis so far.
[MV] JUNIEL - Last Carnival
This song/video is about dating/domestic abuse. She has light but visible bruises.

[DEBUT] Wanna One - Energetic
Oh, dear. I'm already so attached.
Wanna One is the brother group to IOI, formed on Produce 101 season 2!
As much as I love(d) IOI, I think Wanna One is more vocally capable and that's my personal preference. Plus a bunch of the guys I was rooting for much of the way through the show made it into the top 11. Very happy to see them debut!
There's supposed to be a newly recorded version of Never, which was featured on the show, with only the top 11 for their mini-album. Looking forward to hearing that. Could go down as one of my top 3 songs of the year.

[MV] SNSD - All Night
10 years running for a girl group is quite a feat! Respect.
Documentary version with interview dialogue.

[MV] Real Girls Project - PINGPONG GAME
I don't entirely know what RGP really is. They're a group on the IDOLM@STER show, like Red Queen was. Lots of former members from different girl groups, some disbanded, some not. No idea if this is intended to be a long-term thing...
[DEBUT] AA (ARKAY&ADDCORN) - FLEX
Not to be confused with AA (Double A), which I believe is disbanded.

[MV] N.Flying - The Real
Official channel link
Thoroughly enjoyed the video AND THEN THE END HAPPENED.
I'm screaming. XD
Produce 101 context in the full post if you need it.
[DEBUT] ONF - ON/OFF
I quite like this.
The set design is giving me Portal2 flashbacks.. in a good way.
[DEBUT] Samuel (feat. Changmo) - Sixteen
Samuel's debut post-Produce101.
I wish there was less vocoder/autotune at the start.
[MV] JUCY (feat. I.F) - Cocktail
I think JUCY has been around for years already, but hasn't released much officially.
